Boodee Buddee

Working with a group of other students, I helped create an advertising and promotional campaign for a local startup company, Boodee Buddee, who are selling fanny packs. The campaign we created focused on how Boodee Buddee could obtain brand awareness and recognition through guerrilla marketing campaigns, paid social media ads, and content marketing.

My team and I came up with a variety of ideas in order to help promote the Boodee Buddee brand. After conducting primary research, we concluded that those in the Boodee Buddee target segment were environmentally conscious. Using this insight we suggested placing a vending machine that would accept trash instead of money, in order to promote recycling efforts. When trash is inserted, the one who recycled would receive a fanny pack. These vending machines would be placed in famous tourist places.

Another idea was having a Boodee Buddee snapchat filter that would show what a Boodee Buddee fanny pack would look like on an individual. This initiative would would help have users spread the brand.

In addition to the vending machine and the social media ads, we suggested that Boodee Buddee have print advertisements in magazines. Through our primary research we concluded that magazines such as travel and airline magazines would be the best place for the ads.

To further strengthen the online presence Boodee Buddee would have on social media, we suggested that Boodee Buddee leverage content marketing on websites and blogs that focused specifically on travel gear.
