K-Swiss

Primary Research, Secondary Research, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Keynote, Snapchat Filters

I worked on a course project with a group of other advertising students which focused on creating an advertising campaign for the brand K-Swiss. As a group we researched the behavioral thought process of current K-Swiss consumers and tried to understand why they decided to purchase K-Swiss shoes. We created a campaign using the insights we gained from the love group of K-Swiss consumers. Our advertising campaign focused on how consumers of K-Swiss enjoy not being confined to cliche brands that populate the market, and instead enjoy purchasing more unique brands. Our creative plan was to have bold graphics infused with real photos and our tagline was “Restring your steez”.

Below are magazine mockups in which following our advertising campaign had copy that specifically called out mainstream shoe companies slogans with creative design incorporating a colorful cartoon treatment to the models and the shoe products.

With the same design theme used in the print ad, we would partner with snapchat and have a filter that would offer users to take a picture with a unique cartoon clothing design with K-Swiss branding.

Continuing with design theme, we planned on having a social media advertisement video that continues to call out the redundancy of the mainstream shoe companies and show how K-Swiss is a unique brand with creative animations.

The target market in which we wanted to aim for were young individuals living in urban areas. In order to have exposure with these people we would place ads in public transportation.

K-Swiss could execute guerrilla marketing tactics in the public. Leveraging our advertising theme and using elements in the streets, K-Swiss could create many unique and witty ads continuing to call out mainstream shoe companies.

K-Swiss could hold a public event and showcase their shoes. K-Swiss could grab the attention of many people by having a pop-up shop in the shape of a shoebox in areas that have high foot traffic.
