As part of an Internet marketing course, I worked on a group project to improve an eCommerce website’s layout and online marketing. My team and I worked with Abstract Thread, a clothing company, to help increase the number of visits to the site and purchases overall. Together as a group we created a new website layout that helped increase conversions, while also executing a Google Ads and social media campaign that further increased purchases on the website. We used Google Analytics and Tag Manager to help us track the conversions and key target metrics. To help the website rise organically in search results we improved the on- and off-site SEO of the website. As a result of our efforts with our Google Ads campaign we increased sessions by 10,000%. Our social media efforts increased the target reach by 11.8%, while impressions increased by 13.5%, conversion rate by 50%, and ROAS by 8%. Graphs below illustrate the changes in our social media campaign after adjustments were made.
